As a Float Pool Patient Care Associate, you will have the opportunity to work in various units within our hospital, providing care to a diverse patient population.   1. Provide compassionate and high-quality care to patients in various units within the hospital.
  2. Demonstrate excellent clinical skills and knowledge to ensure safe and effective patient care.
  3. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to promote a collaborative and patient-centered approach to care.
  4. Maintain a professional demeanor and positive attitude while working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  5. Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet the needs of patients and the unit.
  6. Adapt quickly to changing patient assignments and unit needs as a member of the float pool team.
  7. Follow hospital policies and procedures to maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
  8. Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic medical records.
  9. Participate in patient education and discharge planning to promote continuity of care.
  10. Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure seamless transitions of care for patients.
  11. Act as an advocate for patients' rights and needs.
  12. Attend required trainings and meetings to maintain and enhance knowledge and skills.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned by the unit manager or nursing supervisor.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: The First Qualification For A Float Pool Patient Care Associate Job At Mercy Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Demonstrates A Basic Level Of Education And Knowledge Necessary For The Role.
