
Exercise Technician

- Develop and implement personalized exercise programs for patients based on their individual needs and goals.
- Conduct fitness assessments and evaluations to determine patients' current physical condition and track progress over time.
- Educate patients on proper form, technique, and safety precautions during exercise sessions.
- Monitor patients during exercise sessions to ensure proper execution and prevent injuries.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create comprehensive treatment plans for patients.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient progress and any modifications to their exercise program.
- Stay up-to-date on current exercise science research and incorporate new findings into patient care.
- Provide support and motivation to patients to help them stay on track with their fitness goals.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families to address any concerns or questions.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean exercise environment for patients.
- Maintain equipment and supplies, ensuring they are in proper working condition.
- Continuously assess and modify exercise programs as needed to ensure patients are making progress towards their goals.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay informed on best practices and new developments in the field.
- Collaborate with community organizations and participate in outreach initiatives to promote the benefits of exercise and healthy living.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions with patients and their information.
Bachelor's Degree In Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Or Related Field
Certification As A Personal Trainer Or Exercise Specialist From A Reputable Organization (E.g. Acsm, Nasm, Nsca)
Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience Working In A Fitness Setting, Preferably In A Clinical Or Healthcare Environment
Knowledge Of Anatomy, Physiology, And Exercise Programming For Various Populations (E.g. Cardiac, Pulmonary, Orthopedic)
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Work With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals In A Team-Based Approach.
