  1. Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
  2. Follow established cleaning procedures and protocols to ensure high standards of cleanliness.
  3. Perform routine cleaning tasks, including mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces.
  4. Utilize appropriate cleaning agents and equipment to effectively remove dirt, grime, and other contaminants.
  5. Monitor and maintain adequate levels of cleaning supplies and equipment.
  6. Respond promptly to requests for cleaning services in patient rooms, offices, and common areas.
  7. Assist with the proper disposal of medical waste and hazardous materials.
  8. Communicate any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate department.
  9. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to prevent the spread of illness and disease.
  10. Provide exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.
  11. Participate in training and continuing education programs to stay up-to-date on best practices and new developments in environmental services.
  12. Collaborate with other members of the environmental services team to ensure a cohesive and efficient workflow.
  13. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
  14. Report any concerns or incidents to the appropriate supervisor or manager.
  15. Uphold the mission, values, and policies of Mercy in all job duties.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education Required; Additional Training Or Certification In Environmental Services Preferred.

  • At Least 1-2 Years Of Experience In Environmental Services Or Housekeeping, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Proper Cleaning And Sanitation Techniques, As Well As Understanding Of Infection Control Protocols.

  • Ability To Understand And Follow Safety Procedures, Including Proper Handling Of Cleaning Chemicals And Use Of Personal Protective Equipment.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Well In A Team And Provide Excellent Customer Service To Patients And Staff.
