
Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
Mercy is looking for an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our team. Our EMTs are highly-trained professionals who provide medical care and assistance in emergency situations. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of medical terminology, be able to perform basic medical procedures, and possess a strong sense of empathy and compassion. We require a minimum of two years of experience in an EMT role and a valid EMT certification. Responsibilities:
- Provide medical attention and assistance to patients in emergency situations.
- Utilize medical knowledge and training to accurately treat patients and administer medications and treatments.
- Monitor vital signs and assess the condition of patients to ensure their safety and comfort.
- Communicate with other medical personnel to coordinate patient care and treatment plans.
- Transport patients to medical facilities and provide them with basic medical care en route.
- Remain up to date on new medical procedures and treatments.
- Maintain patient records and prepare reports on patient condition and care.
- Provide emotional support and compassion to patients and their families.
- Respond quickly and appropriately to medical emergencies.
