Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

Mercy is looking for an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our team. Our EMTs are highly-trained professionals who provide medical care and assistance in emergency situations. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of medical terminology, be able to perform basic medical procedures, and possess a strong sense of empathy and compassion. We require a minimum of two years of experience in an EMT role and a valid EMT certification. Responsibilities:

1. Provide medical attention and assistance to patients in emergency situations.
2. Utilize medical knowledge and training to accurately treat patients and administer medications and treatments.
3. Monitor vital signs and assess the condition of patients to ensure their safety and comfort.
4. Communicate with other medical personnel to coordinate patient care and treatment plans.
5. Transport patients to medical facilities and provide them with basic medical care en route.
6. Remain up to date on new medical procedures and treatments.
7. Maintain patient records and prepare reports on patient condition and care.
8. Provide emotional support and compassion to patients and their families.
9. Respond quickly and appropriately to medical emergencies.
