Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

We are looking for an experienced, passionate, and reliable Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our medical team at Mercy. Our ideal candidate is someone who is ready to make a difference in the lives of our patients. You must have the ability to handle stressful and chaotic situations with grace and efficiency. The successful candidate must meet all of the following requirements: current certification as an EMT in the state of operation, valid driver's license and a good driving record, as well as a minimum of 1 year of experience as an EMT. Additionally, you should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Responsibilities:

1. Respond to emergency medical calls and provide pre-hospital care to patients in need.
2. Assess patients' condition and provide initial treatments.
3. Monitor vital signs, administer oxygen, and provide medications per protocol.
4. Perform medical procedures such as immobilizing fractures, controlling bleeding, and performing CPR.
5. Load and transport patients to medical facilities in a safe and timely manner.
6. Document patient information, treatments, and outcomes.
7. Maintain and restock medical supplies and equipment.
8. Follow safety protocols and regulations.
9. Provide emotional support to patients and their families.
10. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
