Job Description

Mercy is looking for an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our team and provide life-saving care in our Emergency Department. We are looking for an energetic, compassionate individual who is dedicated to helping others. The successful candidate will have a strong sense of responsibility, excellent communication skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a desire to bring the highest quality of care to our patients.The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: a high school diploma or GED; a valid state EMT certification; a valid driver’s license; a current CPR certification; and at least one year of experience as an EMT. We also require that the successful candidate be able to lift up to 50 pounds.At Mercy, the Emergency Medical Technician plays an important role in providing exceptional medical care to our patients. Responsibilities of an Emergency Medical Technician:

• Respond to and assess medical emergencies in a timely manner • Provide life-saving medical care to patients in the emergency department • Follow proper protocol and safety procedures • Accurately document patient information and medical treatments • Communicate effectively with patients, family members, and medical staff • Lift and move patients using proper techniques • Maintain current CPR, EMT certification, and driver's license • Provide compassionate care and support to patients and their families • Remain up to date on medical technology and industry changes
