Job Description

At Mercy, we are looking for a highly motivated and compassionate Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our team. This position requires a professional who is dedicated to providing quality care and is passionate about helping others in their time of need. The EMT will be responsible for responding to emergency calls, evaluating patients, administering medical care, and transporting patients to medical facilities. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have a basic knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, as well as the ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations. Responsibilities:

  1. Respond to emergency calls in a timely manner and assess the medical needs of the patient.
  2. Administer medical care in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
  3. Transport patients to medical facilities in a safe and efficient manner.
  4. Maintain accurate records of patient care and treatments.
  5. Remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
  6. Ensure all medical equipment is properly maintained and stored.
  7. Keep abreast of developments in emergency medical treatment and techniques.
  8. Provide emotional support to patients and their families.
  9. Follow all safety protocols and procedures.
  10. Participate in continuing education courses to maintain certification.
