  1. Provide emergency medical care: The primary responsibility of an Emergency Medical Technician at Mercy is to provide immediate medical care to patients in emergency situations. This includes assessing the patient's condition, administering first aid, and performing life-saving procedures when necessary.
  2. Respond to emergency calls: EMTs must be able to quickly respond to emergency calls and arrive at the scene in a timely manner. This requires the ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions in high-stress situations.
  3. Perform patient assessments: EMTs are responsible for assessing a patient's condition and determining the appropriate course of action. This may include taking vital signs, conducting physical exams, and gathering information about the patient's medical history.
  4. Administer medical treatments: EMTs are trained to administer various medical treatments such as oxygen, medications, and CPR. They must have a thorough understanding of emergency medical procedures and be able to perform them accurately and efficiently.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of An Accredited Emergency Medical Technician (Emt) Training Program.

  • Current Certification As An Emt By The National Registry Of Emergency Medical Technicians (Nremt).

  • Valid State Driver's License And Clean Driving Record.

  • Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification.

  • Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills, With The Ability To Remain Calm And Focused In High-Stress Situations.
