As a Credentialing Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of our healthcare organization by verifying the credentials of our healthcare professionals.   1. Verify and maintain accurate and up-to-date credentials for all healthcare professionals within the organization.
  2. Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and requirements related to credentialing.
  3. Conduct thorough and detailed background checks, including education, work history, and licensure, for all healthcare professionals.
  4. Collaborate with various departments and external agencies to obtain necessary information and documentation for credentialing.
  5. Review and analyze credentialing applications for completeness and accuracy.
  6. Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals to obtain missing or incomplete information.
  7. Maintain organized and confidential credentialing records.
  8. Identify and escalate any potential red flags or discrepancies in credentialing applications.
  9. Develop and maintain relationships with external organizations and agencies involved in the credentialing process.
  10. Stay updated on changes and updates in regulatory standards and incorporate them into the credentialing process.
  11. Provide assistance and support to healthcare professionals in the credentialing process.
  12. Participate in audits and quality improvement initiatives related to credentialing.
  13. Ensure that all credentialing processes and procedures are followed accurately and efficiently.
  14. Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and implement credentialing policies and procedures.
  15. Continuously evaluate and improve the credentialing process to ensure efficiency and accuracy.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Business Management, Or A Related Field

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Credentialing, Preferably In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting

  • Knowledge Of State And Federal Regulations Related To Credentialing And Privileging Of Healthcare Providers

  • Strong Communication And Organizational Skills, With Attention To Detail And Accuracy

  • Proficiency In Credentialing Software And Databases, As Well As Microsoft Office Suite.
