1. Provide comprehensive and compassionate care to pregnant women and their families during pregnancy, labor, and childbirth.
2. Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional well-being and develop individualized care plans.
3. Monitor and record vital signs, fetal heart rate, and progress of labor.
4. Administer medication, pain relief measures, and other interventions as needed.
5. Educate patients and their families on prenatal and postnatal care, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care and optimal outcomes for patients.
7. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.
8. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
9. Stay updated on current best practices and guidelines in midwifery care.
10. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research studies.
11. Support and advocate for patients' rights and informed decision-making.
12. Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families.
13. Assist with emergency situations and provide prompt and appropriate interventions.
14. Continuously assess and evaluate patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly.
15. Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
16. Foster a positive and respectful work environment.
17. Attend trainings, conferences, and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.
18. Act as a role model and mentor for junior midwives and students.
19. Participate in on-call rotations and be available for births as needed.
20. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervising physician or manager.
