As a Clinical Midwife at Mercy, you will have the opportunity to utilize your extensive knowledge and skills to provide comprehensive care to women throughout their pregnancy, labor, and postpartum journey.   1. Provide comprehensive care to expectant mothers throughout their pregnancy, labor, and postpartum journey.
  2. Utilize extensive knowledge and skills to support and guide women through the childbirth process.
  3. Conduct prenatal assessments, including physical examinations and screenings.
  4. Monitor and evaluate the health of the mother and fetus during pregnancy.
  5. Educate and counsel expectant mothers on prenatal care, childbirth, and postpartum care.
  6. Assist with the management of labor and delivery, including administering medications and performing medical procedures.
  7. Provide emotional support and comfort to mothers during labor and delivery.
  8. Monitor and assess the well-being of newborns after delivery.
  9. Provide postpartum care and support to new mothers, including breastfeeding education and newborn care.
  10. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
  11. Stay up-to-date on current trends and developments in women's healthcare.
  12. Adhere to all ethical, professional, and legal standards in patient care.
  13. Maintain accurate and thorough patient records.
  14. Actively participate in departmental meetings and educational opportunities.
  15. Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and a positive attitude towards patients and their families.
  16. Uphold the mission and values of Mercy in all interactions with patients, colleagues, and the community.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing With Additional Certification In Midwifery

  • Current State License As A Registered Nurse And Certified Nurse Midwife

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience As A Midwife, Preferably In A Hospital Setting

  • Strong Knowledge Of Obstetrical Care, Labor And Delivery Procedures, And Postpartum Care

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With A Compassionate And Patient-Centered Approach To Care.
