  1. Oversee and guide nursing staff: The Chief Nursing Officer will be responsible for managing and directing the nursing staff at Mercy. This includes providing guidance, support, and resources to ensure that the nursing team delivers exceptional care to patients.
  2. Ensure high-quality patient care: The primary responsibility of the Chief Nursing Officer is to ensure that patients receive the highest level of care possible. This includes developing and implementing policies and procedures that adhere to industry standards and best practices.
  3. Lead and mentor nursing staff: The Chief Nursing Officer will serve as a mentor and role model to the nursing staff. They will provide leadership and guidance to foster a positive work environment and promote professional growth and development.
  4. Collaborate with other departments: The Chief Nursing Officer will work closely with other departments, such as physicians, administration, and support services, to develop and implement strategies that improve patient care and outcomes.

Job Qualifications
  • A Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In Nursing Leadership, Preferably In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting.

  • A Master's Degree In Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • Current Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Employment.

  • Demonstrated Experience In Strategic Planning, Budgeting, And Implementing Quality Improvement Initiatives.

  • Proven Track Record Of Successfully Managing And Developing A Team Of Nursing Professionals.
