
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Mercy is looking for a compassionate, detail-oriented Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team and provide excellent care to our patients and their families. We are looking for a CNA with a strong commitment to patient advocacy and healthcare excellence. As a CNA, you will be a vital member of the healthcare team, helping to ensure that our patients receive the best possible care.The ideal candidate for this position will have a current CNA certification, a valid state license, and at least one year of experience in a healthcare setting. To be successful in this role, you must also be able to communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals, as well as demonstrate strong organizational and multitasking skills. Additionally, a commitment to providing a safe and nurturing environment for our patients is paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Ensure patients' comfort and safety throughout their stay.
- Administer medications and other treatments as assigned by the nurse.
- Document patients' vital signs, changes in condition, treatments, and other relevant information.
- Monitor and report any changes in patient behavior or health.
- Respond to patient needs and requests in a timely manner.
- Assist in transferring patients in and out of beds, wheelchairs, and other medical equipment.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures.
