  1. Provide emotional support and companionship to patients in a caring and compassionate manner.
  2. Ensure the physical well-being of patients by assisting with daily tasks such as grooming, feeding, and mobility.
  3. Foster a positive and nurturing environment for patients by actively listening and engaging in meaningful conversations.
  4. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the overall well-being of patients.
  5. Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions and progress.
  6. Attend to the individual needs and preferences of each patient, respecting their privacy and dignity.
  7. Monitor and report any changes in the patient's condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
  8. Demonstrate strong communication skills by effectively communicating with patients, their families, and healthcare team members.
  9. Uphold and promote Mercy's values of compassion, integrity, excellence, and teamwork.
  10. Continuously seek ways to improve the quality of care and enhance the patient experience.

Job Qualifications
  • Experience In Caregiving: Candidates For A Care Companion Job At Mercy Should Have Prior Experience In Providing Care To Individuals, Whether Through Formal Employment Or Personal Experience As A Caregiver For A Family Member Or Friend.

  • Compassionate And Empathetic Nature: A Crucial Qualification For A Care Companion At Mercy Is The Ability To Show Compassion And Empathy Towards Patients And Their Families. This Role Involves Providing Emotional Support And Comfort To Individuals In Vulnerable Situations.

However, They Should Also Be Able To Work Well Within A Team And Collaborate With Other Healthcare Professionals To Provide The Best Care For Patients.
