  1. Provide exceptional care: The Athletic Trainer is responsible for providing high quality care to patients and communities at Mercy, in line with the organization's mission.
  2. Assist athletes of all levels: The Athletic Trainer will work with athletes of all levels, from beginners to professionals, to provide them with the necessary support and expertise to excel in their sport.
  3. Promote overall wellness: The Athletic Trainer will educate patients on injury prevention, physical fitness, and overall wellness to help them achieve their full potential.
  4. Collaborate with medical team: The Athletic Trainer will work closely with other medical professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans and ensure the best care for patients.
  5. Conduct evaluations and assessments: The Athletic Trainer will assess and evaluate athletes' injuries, conditions, and progress to develop individualized treatment plans.
  6. Administer treatments and rehabilitation: The Athletic Trainer will provide treatments such as taping, bracing, and therapeutic exercises, as well as oversee rehabilitation programs for injured athletes.
  7. Maintain accurate records: The Athletic Trainer will document all patient care and maintain accurate records of treatments, progress, and any changes in condition.
  8. Monitor athletes' progress: The Athletic Trainer will regularly monitor patients' progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans to ensure optimal recovery.
  9. Educate on injury prevention: The Athletic Trainer will educate athletes on injury prevention techniques and strategies to help reduce the risk of injuries.
  10. Serve as a resource: The Athletic Trainer will serve as a resource for athletes, coaches, and other staff members on injury prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation.
  11. Ensure safety: The Athletic Trainer will ensure a safe environment for athletes by following proper safety protocols and guidelines.
  12. Stay updated on industry developments: The Athletic Trainer will stay current on advancements and developments in the sports medicine field to provide the best care for patients.
  13. Uphold professional standards: The Athletic Trainer will adhere to the professional code of conduct and ethical standards set by the National Athletic Trainers' Association

Job Qualifications
  • Current Cpr And First Aid Certification

  • Bachelor's Degree In Athletic Training Or Related Field From An Accredited University

  • Certified Athletic Trainer (Atc) Designation From The National Athletic Trainers' Association (Nata)

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As An Athletic Trainer In A Healthcare Or Sports Setting

  • Knowledge Of Injury Prevention, Evaluation, Treatment, And Rehabilitation Techniques For Athletes Of All Ages And Levels Of Competition
