  1. Oversee and lead the medical team to ensure the delivery of high-quality and patient-centered care.
  2. Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures to maintain the highest standards of care.
  3. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create a cohesive and efficient care delivery system.
  4. Monitor and evaluate the performance of medical staff and provide guidance and support as needed.
  5. Serve as a role model and mentor to junior medical staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and development.
  6. Stay updated on the latest medical advancements and ensure that the facility is utilizing evidence-based practices.
  7. Work closely with the executive team to develop and execute strategic plans for the facility.
  8. Maintain a positive and collaborative working relationship with all departments, promoting a team-based approach to care delivery.
  9. Ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies and maintain a safe and ethical work environment.
  10. Participate in community outreach programs and initiatives to promote the facility and its services.
  11. Represent the facility in a professional and positive manner at all times, both internally and externally.
  12. Continuously monitor and improve the overall quality of care provided by the facility.
  13. Participate in budget planning and management for the medical department.
  14. Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including patients, families, staff, and leadership.
  15. Act as a liaison between medical staff and other departments to promote effective communication and collaboration.

Job Qualifications
  • Medical Degree From An Accredited Institution: The Associate Medical Director At Mercy Gohealth Should Possess A Doctor Of Medicine (Md) Or Doctor Of Osteopathic Medicine (Do) Degree From A Recognized And Accredited Institution.

  • Active Medical License In State Of Practice: The Candidate Should Hold A Current And Active Medical License In The State Where Mercy Gohealth Operates. This Is Essential For Practicing Medicine And Overseeing Clinical Operations.

  • Board Certification In A Relevant Specialty: The Ideal Candidate Should Be Board Certified In A Relevant Specialty Such As Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Or Pediatrics. This Ensures A Strong Foundation Of Medical Knowledge And Expertise.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Clinical Experience: Mercy Expects The Associate Medical Director To Have At Least 5 Years Of Clinical Experience, Preferably In An Emergency Or Urgent Care Setting. This Experience Should Include Both Patient Care And Leadership Responsibilities.

  • Previous Leadership Or Management Experience: The Candidate Should Have Previous Experience In A Leadership Or Management Role, Demonstrating The Ability To Oversee And Guide A Team Of Medical Professionals. This Includes Skills In Communication, Decision-Making, And Conflict Resolution.
