Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Anesthesia Technician to join our team on a PRN (as needed) basis. As an Anesthesia Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting our anesthesiologists and ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of anesthesia to our patients.   1. Assist the anesthesiologist in preparing and maintaining anesthesia equipment and supplies.
  2. Set up and test anesthesia machines and monitors prior to procedures.
  3. Monitor and record vital signs, anesthesia levels, and patient responses during procedures.
  4. Prepare and administer medications as directed by the anesthesiologist.
  5. Ensure a clean and sterile environment in the operating room.
  6. Communicate effectively with the surgical team to provide support and assistance during procedures.
  7. Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.
  8. Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and inventory levels.
  9. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols and procedures.
  10. Participate in ongoing training and education to stay updated on advances in anesthesia technology and procedures.
  11. Provide compassionate and attentive care to patients before, during, and after procedures.
  12. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care.
  13. Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working in a fast-paced environment.
  14. Flexible availability to work on a PRN basis, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Anesthesia Technician: The Candidate Must Hold A Valid Certification As An Anesthesia Technician From An Accredited Institution. This Ensures That They Have The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Perform The Duties Of The Job.

  • Prior Experience: A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Similar Role Is Preferred. This Demonstrates The Candidate's Familiarity With Anesthesia Equipment, Procedures, And Protocols.

  • Knowledge Of Anesthesia Techniques: The Candidate Should Possess In-Depth Knowledge Of Various Anesthesia Techniques And Be Able To Assist With Patient Positioning, Airway Management, And Monitoring During Procedures.

  • Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills: Anesthesia Technicians Work Closely With Anesthesiologists, Surgeons, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Therefore, Candidates Should Have Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills To Ensure Smooth And Efficient Operation In The Operating Room.

  • Flexibility And Availability: As A Prn (As Needed) Position, The Candidate Should Be Able To Work Flexible Hours, Including Weekends And Holidays, To Meet The Needs Of The Hospital. They Should Also Be Available For On-Call Shifts In Case Of Emergencies.
