  1. Greet and welcome patients and their families to Mercy with a warm and friendly demeanor.
  2. Act as a liaison between patients, their families, and healthcare providers to ensure a smooth and efficient admission process.
  3. Conduct thorough interviews with patients and their families to gather necessary information for the admission process.
  4. Educate patients and their families on the services and resources available at Mercy to aid in their care.
  5. Collaborate with healthcare providers to determine the best course of action for each patient's unique needs.
  6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient information and admissions processes.
  7. Communicate with insurance companies and other third-party entities to verify coverage and obtain necessary authorizations.
  8. Coordinate with other departments to ensure necessary arrangements are made for patient care, such as transportation and accommodations.
  9. Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and their families during the admission process.
  10. Stay informed on current healthcare regulations and policies to ensure compliance during admissions procedures.
  11. Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance knowledge and skills.
  12. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards when handling sensitive patient information.
  13. Serve as a positive representative of Mercy, promoting our mission and values to patients and their families.
  14. Work collaboratively with other admissions counselors and healthcare professionals to ensure a cohesive and effective admissions process.
  15. Continuously strive to improve the admissions process and identify opportunities for enhancement.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Psychology, Counseling, Or Education.

  • Strong Interpersonal And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Build Rapport And Establish Trust With Prospective Students And Their Families.

  • Previous Experience In Admissions Or College Counseling, Preferably In A Healthcare Or Academic Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Admissions Processes, Enrollment Management Strategies, And Financial Aid Options.
