Advanced Degree In Data Science Or Related Field: A Senior Scientist At Merck & Co. Should Have A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Or A Related Field. A Phd Is Preferred.
Extensive Experience In Machine Learning: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Applying Machine Learning Techniques To Complex Datasets. They Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Various Machine Learning Algorithms And Be Able To Select And Apply The Appropriate One For A Given Problem.
Proficiency In Statistical Analysis: A Senior Scientist Should Be Well-Versed In Statistical Methods And Have Experience In Analyzing Large And Complex Datasets. They Should Be Able To Design Experiments, Analyze Data, And Draw Meaningful Conclusions From Their Findings.
Knowledge Of Data-Rich Experimentation: Merck & Co. Is Looking For A Senior Scientist Who Has Experience In Data-Rich Experimentation And Can Develop And Apply Statistical Models To Optimize Experimental Design. They Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Randomized Control Trials And Factorial Designs.
