  1. Develop and implement nonclinical safety strategies for drug development programs.
  2. Provide scientific expertise and leadership in the area of nonclinical drug safety.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute nonclinical safety studies.
  4. Analyze and interpret nonclinical safety data to support decision-making for drug candidates.
  5. Prepare and review nonclinical safety sections of regulatory submissions.
  6. Communicate and present nonclinical safety data and strategies to internal and external stakeholders.
  7. Keep up-to-date with current industry regulations and guidelines related to nonclinical drug safety.
  8. Mentor and provide guidance to junior scientists within the nonclinical drug safety team.
  9. Participate in risk assessment and mitigation activities for drug development programs.
  10. Maintain a high level of scientific rigor and integrity in all aspects of work.
  11. Identify and implement innovative approaches to improve drug safety assessment.
  12. Collaborate with external partners and vendors for nonclinical safety studies.
  13. Serve as a subject matter expert on nonclinical safety in interactions with regulatory agencies.
  14. Contribute to the development and improvement of company-wide nonclinical drug safety policies and procedures.
  15. Participate in cross-functional initiatives and support company goals and objectives.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Nonclinical Drug Safety: The Senior Principal Scientist Should Have A Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In Nonclinical Drug Safety, Including A Deep Understanding Of Industry Standards, Guidelines, And Regulations.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Drug Development: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Comprehensive Understanding Of The Drug Development Process, Including Preclinical And Clinical Phases, As Well As The Ability To Apply This Knowledge To Nonclinical Drug Safety Assessments.

  • Leadership Skills: As A Senior Level Position, The Senior Principal Scientist Should Have Proven Experience In Leading And Managing A Team Of Scientists, As Well As The Ability To Mentor And Develop Junior Staff.

  • Advanced Scientific Expertise: This Role Requires A High Level Of Scientific Expertise In Relevant Areas Such As Pharmacology, Toxicology, And Risk Assessment. The Candidate Should Have A Strong Publication Record And Be Able To Provide Scientific Leadership And Guidance To Cross-Functional Teams.

  • Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills: The Senior Principal Scientist Will Be Expected To Communicate And Collaborate Effectively With Internal And External Stakeholders, Including Regulatory Agencies, To Ensure The Safe Development Of Drugs. Strong Presentation, Writing, And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For This Role.
