
Senior Principal Scientist (Director, Epidemiology)
Merck & Co. is seeking an experienced Senior Principal Scientist (Director, Epidemiology) to lead our epidemiological research and development efforts. The ideal candidate will have a highly developed scientific background and solid experience in epidemiology and data analysis. They should have a strong understanding of the principles and application of epidemiological research and have exceptional problem solving skills.The Senior Principal Scientist (Director, Epidemiology) will play a vital role in helping to develop and execute epidemiological research projects in alignment with business objectives. They will work with a multidisciplinary team to design, implement, and interpret epidemiological studies and will be responsible for developing an epidemiological strategy that meets the needs of Merck & Co. They will provide statistical and methodological guidance to the team and ensure the quality of the data and interpretation of results. The successful candidate for this role must have a PhD in epidemiology or related field, with a minimum of 10 years' experience in epidemiological research. They should be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
