Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Administrative Assistant to join our team at Merck & Co.   1. Provide high-level administrative support to executives, including managing schedules, coordinating meetings and travel arrangements, and preparing reports and presentations.
  2. Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, maintaining professional and effective communication.
  3. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and handle it with discretion.
  4. Develop and maintain efficient filing systems and databases to ensure easy access to important documents.
  5. Monitor and manage office supplies and equipment, ensuring they are well-stocked and functioning properly.
  6. Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, take meeting minutes, and follow up on action items.
  7. Coordinate and execute special projects and events, such as conferences and training sessions.
  8. Conduct research and compile data to support decision-making and strategic planning.
  9. Assist with the onboarding of new employees, including coordinating orientation and training sessions.
  10. Serve as a liaison between different departments and teams, fostering collaboration and teamwork.
  11. Handle travel expense reports and process invoices for payment.
  12. Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency and productivity.
  13. Act as a role model and mentor to other administrative staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  14. Uphold the company's values and mission, and represent the organization in a professional and positive manner.
  15. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to bring new ideas and approaches to the role.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Administrative Experience: A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In An Administrative Role, With A Strong Understanding Of Office Procedures And Protocols.

  • Excellent Organizational Skills: Ability To Manage Multiple Tasks And Prioritize Effectively, While Maintaining A High Level Of Accuracy And Attention To Detail.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills Are Essential For This Role, Including The Ability To Effectively Communicate With All Levels Of Staff And External Stakeholders.

  • Proficient In Microsoft Office: Advanced Proficiency In Microsoft Office Suite, Including Word, Excel, And Powerpoint, Is Required For This Role. Experience With Other Office Software And Databases Is A Plus.

  • Ability To Work Independently: The Ideal Candidate Should Be Self-Motivated And Able To Work Independently Without Constant Supervision. They Should Also Be Able To Take Initiative And Anticipate The Needs Of Senior Management.
