Job Description

  1. Conduct quantitative analyses using pharmacological principles and data to support drug discovery and development.
  2. Participate in the design and execution of experiments to generate pharmacometric data.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement innovative quantitative methods.
  4. Analyze and interpret data to provide insights and recommendations for drug development.
  5. Communicate findings and results effectively to team members and stakeholders.
  6. Stay updated on current developments and trends in quantitative pharmacology and pharmacometrics.
  7. Ensure data integrity and accuracy throughout all stages of the project.
  8. Follow established protocols and procedures for conducting experiments and analyzing data.
  9. Contribute to the preparation of scientific reports and presentations.
  10. Support the development and validation of new quantitative methods and tools.
  11. Maintain a safe and organized laboratory environment.
  12. Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding research and development activities.
  13. Collaborate with other co-ops and team members to achieve project goals and deadlines.
  14. Take ownership of individual projects and seek guidance and support when needed.
  15. Represent the company and its values in a professional and ethical manner.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Background In Quantitative Pharmacology And Pharmacometrics: Candidates Should Have A Solid Understanding Of Mathematical And Statistical Principles As They Apply To Drug Development And Evaluation.

  • Proficiency In Relevant Software And Programming Languages: Experience With Software Such As Nonmem, R Or Sas, As Well As Proficiency In Programming Languages Like Python Or Matlab, Is Essential For This Role.

  • Knowledge Of Drug Development Processes: A Thorough Understanding Of The Drug Development Process, Including Clinical Trial Design, Data Analysis, And Regulatory Requirements, Is Crucial For Success In This Co-Op Position.

  • Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: The Ability To Analyze Complex Data, Identify Trends And Patterns, And Make Informed Decisions Based On Evidence Is Essential For This Role.

  • Strong Communication And Teamwork Abilities: As A Co-Op At Merck, Candidates Will Be Expected To Work Collaboratively With Cross-Functional Teams And Effectively Communicate Their Findings And Recommendations To Colleagues And Stakeholders. Strong Interpersonal Skills Are A Must.
