Patent Attorney

Merck & Co. is seeking a motivated and highly qualified Patent Attorney to join our legal team. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter with a broad range of legal and intellectual property experience, who is eager to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The Patent Attorney will be responsible for protecting Merck’s intellectual property assets, ensuring that Merck’s products and processes are adequately protected from infringement.To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate must possess a Juris Doctor (JD) degree and be admitted to practice in at least one US jurisdiction, preferably in New Jersey or Delaware. In addition, the candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in patent law, intellectual property, or technology law. Working knowledge of global IP laws and regulations is preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, as is a high level of attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be a team player, have excellent problem-solving and time-management skills, and be comfortable working in a cross-functional environment.
