Job Description

At Merck & Co., we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an IT Technical Lead, Site Security.   1. Lead and manage the technical security operations at our sites, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our IT infrastructure.
  2. Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and standards to protect company systems and data.
  3. Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation actions.
  4. Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats, trends, and technologies and make recommendations for improvement.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that security measures are integrated into all aspects of IT operations.
  6. Manage and maintain security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption methods.
  7. Monitor and analyze security logs to identify and respond to potential security incidents.
  8. Provide technical guidance and support to IT teams in implementing security measures and resolving security-related issues.
  9. Conduct security awareness training for employees to promote a culture of security.
  10. Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure the company's systems and data are protected in the event of a security incident.
  11. Prepare and present security reports to senior management, highlighting any potential risks and recommending solutions.
  12. Develop and maintain relationships with external security vendors and stay informed about their products and services.
  13. Continuously review and update security policies and procedures to meet changing security needs.
  14. Act as the main point of contact for any security-related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
  15. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to information security.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Knowledge And Experience In It Security Protocols And Best Practices.

  • Proven Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Manage A Team And Prioritize Tasks.

  • Strong Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal, To Effectively Communicate With Team Members And Stakeholders.

  • In-Depth Understanding Of Network And System Security, Including Risk Assessment, Vulnerability Management, And Incident Response.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science Or A Related Field, With At Least 5 Years Of Experience In It Security Management. Industry Certifications Such As Cissp Or Cism Are A Plus.
