Job Description

To achieve this, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Infrastructure Security Zero Trust Senior Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security of our infrastructure and protecting our sensitive data. We are looking for someone who is passionate about cybersecurity and has a deep understanding of Zero Trust principles.   1. Develop and implement Zero Trust security policies and procedures to protect Merck & Co.'s infrastructure and sensitive data.
  2. Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend solutions.
  3. Monitor and analyze system logs and network traffic to detect and respond to security incidents.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement security solutions that align with business needs.
  5. Stay abreast of emerging threats and industry best practices to continuously enhance the company's security posture.
  6. Lead the evaluation and implementation of new security technologies and tools.
  7. Conduct regular training and awareness sessions to educate employees on security best practices.
  8. Manage access control systems and ensure proper authentication and authorization processes are in place.
  9. Investigate and respond to security incidents and provide recommendations for remediation.
  10. Work with vendors and third-party partners to ensure their systems meet Merck & Co.'s security standards.
  11. Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for the company's infrastructure.
  12. Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure the company's security practices comply with relevant laws and regulations.
  13. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior security team members.
  14. Communicate security risks and issues to senior management and provide recommendations for mitigation.
  15. Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of security controls and make necessary adjustments to maintain a strong security posture.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Implementing And Managing Zero Trust Security Models In Large Scale, Complex Infrastructure Environments.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Network Security Protocols, Firewalls, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems, And Other Security Technologies.

  • Proven Ability To Design And Implement Multi-Layered Security Architectures To Protect Against External And Internal Threats.

  • Strong Understanding Of Cloud Computing Security Principles And Experience With Securing Hybrid Cloud Environments.

  • Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills To Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And Provide Guidance On Security Best Practices.
