  1. Greet and welcome potential candidates to Merck & Co., providing an overview of the company and its mission in the healthcare industry.
  2. Communicate the specific role and responsibilities of the Wet Lab-based Co-op position within the Genome Sciences team.
  3. Collaborate with team members to identify key qualities and skills required for success in the role.
  4. Assist in the recruitment and selection process by screening resumes and conducting initial interviews.
  5. Onboard and train new Co-op team members, providing necessary resources and information to ensure a smooth transition into the role.

  12. Contribute to the development and execution of research projects, utilizing the Co-op's skills and knowledge.
  13. Uphold company values and ethics, promoting a strong work ethic and professional conduct.
  14. Encourage and support the Co-op's personal and professional growth, providing resources and opportunities for development.
  15. Represent Merck & Co. and the Genome Sciences team at industry events and conferences.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Genetics, Molecular Biology, Or Related Field

  • Experience In Wet Lab Techniques Such As Dna Sequencing, Pcr, And Gel Electrophoresis

  • Knowledge Of Genome Analysis Software And Databases

  • Strong Attention To Detail And Ability To Accurately Record And Analyze Data

  • Prior Experience In A Laboratory Setting, Preferably In A Pharmaceutical Or Biotech Industry
