- Oversee and manage all aspects of the research laboratories, including budget, personnel, and operations.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the research laboratories in alignment with the company's overall mission and goals.
- Lead and mentor a team of scientists and researchers, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality and impactful research.
- Collaborate with other departments and teams to integrate research findings into business development strategies and initiatives.

Advanced Degree In Science Or Business: A Director, Research Laboratories And Business Development Communications At Merck & Co. Should Have A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Biology, Chemistry, Or Business Administration. This Will Provide The Necessary Knowledge And Understanding Of Scientific Research And Business Principles Required For The Role.
Proven Experience In Research And Business Development: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 10 Years Of Experience In Both Research And Business Development Within The Pharmaceutical Or Biotechnology Industry. Therefore, The Candidate Should Have Previous Experience In A Leadership Or Management Role, With A Proven Ability To Motivate And Develop A Team.
