Job Description

Are you a highly motivated and experienced individual with a passion for advancing drug development in the field of immunology? Merck & Co. is seeking a Director of Quantitative Pharmacology and Pharmacometrics to join our team and lead the development of innovative therapies for immune-mediated diseases. In this role, you will utilize your expertise in quantitative pharmacology and pharmacometrics to guide decision-making and optimize drug development strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in immunology, pharmacokinetics, and statistical modeling, along with excellent leadership and communication skills.   1. Lead the development of quantitative pharmacology and pharmacometrics strategies to support drug development for immune-mediated diseases.
  2. Utilize expertise in immunology, pharmacokinetics, and statistical modeling to guide decision-making and optimize drug development.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement pharmacology and pharmacometrics studies.
  4. Analyze and interpret data from preclinical and clinical studies to inform drug development decisions.
  5. Develop and maintain pharmacometric models to support clinical trial design and drug dose selection.
  6. Provide strategic input for drug development plans and regulatory submissions.
  7. Stay up-to-date on emerging techniques and methodologies in quantitative pharmacology and pharmacometrics.
  8. Lead and mentor a team of quantitative pharmacology and pharmacometrics scientists.
  9. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including presenting at conferences and participating in regulatory interactions.
  10. Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
  11. Collaborate with external partners and vendors to support drug development projects.
  12. Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental strategies and processes.
  13. Participate in the evaluation and selection of new drug targets and potential therapeutic candidates.
  14. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
  15. Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment to drive scientific excellence and achieve business objectives.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacology, Or A Related Field

  • Minimum Of 10 Years Experience In Drug Development And Quantitative Pharmacology/Pharmacometrics In The Field Of Immunology

  • Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Regulatory Requirements And Guidelines For Drug Development In Immunology

  • Demonstrated Experience In Leading And Managing Cross-Functional Teams And Projects

  • Excellent Communication And Presentation Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate Complex Scientific Concepts To Both Technical And Non-Technical Audiences.
