- Design and oversee outcomes research studies to evaluate the real-world effectiveness and safety of vaccines produced by Merck & Co.
- Lead a team of researchers in carrying out high-quality research projects and achieving project goals.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the vaccine landscape and use this knowledge to inform research strategies.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines in the design and execution of outcomes research studies.
- Analyze and interpret data from outcomes research studies and communicate results to internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and regulatory affairs, to support the development and commercialization of vaccines.
- Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in outcomes research.
- Participate in conferences and present research findings to the scientific community.
- Use effective communication skills to present research findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and quality of outcomes research studies.
- Keep track of project timelines and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Provide strategic input and guidance to support the development of new vaccines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful launch and commercialization of new vaccines.
- Act as a representative of Merck & Co. in external meetings and conferences related to outcomes research and vaccines.
Advanced Degree In Health Sciences: A Director Of Outcomes Research Vaccines At Merck & Co. Should Have A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In A Health-Related Field Such As Epidemiology, Public Health, Or Health Economics. A Doctoral Degree Is Preferred.
Extensive Experience In Vaccines Research: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In Conducting Outcomes Research Studies Related To Vaccines. This Should Include Experience In Designing, Implementing, And Analyzing Data From Large-Scale Clinical Trials.
Strong Methodological Skills: The Director Of Outcomes Research Vaccines Must Possess A Strong Understanding Of Research Methodologies And Statistical Analysis Techniques Used In Outcomes Research. They Should Also Have Experience In Developing And Validating Measurement Tools And Data Collection Instruments.
Knowledge Of Regulatory Requirements: As Merck & Co. Is A Pharmaceutical Company, The Director Of Outcomes Research Vaccines Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Regulatory Requirements Related To The Development And Approval Of Vaccines. This Includes Knowledge Of Fda Guidelines, Good Clinical Practice (Gcp) Standards, And Other Regulatory Frameworks.
Leadership And Project Management Skills: The Director Of Outcomes Research Vaccines Will Be Responsible For Leading A Team Of Researchers And Managing Multiple Projects Simultaneously.
