- Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and regulatory filings.
- Assist with due diligence efforts and document management for mergers and acquisitions.
- Communicate with internal stakeholders and external parties to gather necessary information and coordinate transactional activities.
- Conduct legal and market research to support decision-making and strategy development.
- Attend meetings and calls with legal team members and external counsel to gain exposure to negotiations and deal-making processes.
- Assist in the preparation of presentations and reports for senior management and board of directors.
- Maintain organized and accurate files and databases for corporate transactions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, tax, and compliance, to ensure compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in corporate law to provide valuable insights and recommendations.
Strong Academic Background In Corporate Law: The Ideal Candidate For This Position Should Have A Law Degree From A Reputable University, With A Focus On Corporate Law Courses. A High Gpa And Relevant Coursework In Mergers And Acquisitions, Securities Regulations, And Contract Law Would Be Advantageous.
Knowledge Of Corporate Transactions: The Intern Should Have A Good Understanding Of The Legal Aspects Of Corporate Transactions Such As Mergers, Acquisitions, Divestitures, And Joint Ventures.
