Job Description

Merck & Co. is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Clinical Account Management Intern to join our team! We are seeking an individual with a passion for healthcare and customer service who is eager to learn more about the pharmaceutical industry. The ideal candidate for this role should have excellent communication and organizational skills, be self-motivated, and have a strong interest in healthcare. A bachelor’s degree in the sciences or healthcare administration is preferred, as well as experience in customer service or sales. The successful candidate will be a motivated team player with a passion to learn and grow. As a Clinical Account Management Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the industry while developing your skills in customer service, account management, and working with a healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have the ability to think strategically, analyze data, and work collaboratively with the account management team. Responsibilities:

  1. Provide excellent customer service to current and potential clients
  2. Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare customers
  3. Assist with account management activities such as data entry, account maintenance, and sales
  4. Collect and analyze data to identify new opportunities for growth
  5. Prepare reports and presentations for the account management team
  6. Participate in market research and strategy development
  7. Work collaboratively with the account management team to ensure customer satisfaction
  8. Learn and understand the pharmaceutical industry and its regulations
  9. Utilize organizational and communication skills to effectively prioritize tasks
  10. Maintain confidentiality of customer information and corporate data
