- Develop and lead the global clinical development strategy for Merck & Co, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize clinical development opportunities and initiatives.
- Manage and direct a team of clinical development professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure their success.
- Oversee the planning, design, and execution of clinical development programs, including protocol development, study management, and data analysis.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and ethical standards in all clinical development activities.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, KOLs, and external partners, to advance clinical development goals.
- Monitor and analyze clinical trial data to make informed decisions and recommendations for the advancement of drug candidates.
- Identify and mitigate risks in clinical development programs, proactively addressing challenges and finding solutions to ensure successful outcomes.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, developments, and best practices in clinical development, and apply this knowledge to optimize processes and strategies.
- Serve as a strong advocate for patient-centricity, incorporating patient perspectives and needs into clinical development plans.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as regulatory affairs, medical affairs, and commercial, to ensure a coordinated approach to drug development.
- Represent Merck & Co at scientific conferences, advisory boards, and other external events to enhance the company's reputation and influence in the field of clinical development.

Advanced Degree In A Relevant Field (E.g. Medicine, Pharmacy, Or Life Sciences)
Minimum Of 10 Years Experience In Global Clinical Development Within The Pharmaceutical Industry
