  1. Conduct research and development activities related to small molecule projects.
  2. Lead and manage a team of scientists to ensure project goals and timelines are met.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute project plans.
  4. Stay up-to-date on current scientific advancements and apply them to the development of new small molecule therapeutics.
  5. Design and execute experiments, analyze data, and interpret results.
  6. Identify and troubleshoot issues that arise during the course of research and development.
  7. Maintain accurate and detailed records of experiments and results.
  8. Communicate project updates and findings to senior management and other stakeholders.
  9. Develop and implement strategies to optimize processes and improve efficiency.
  10. Mentor and train junior scientists in small molecule research techniques.
  11. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
  12. Participate in the preparation and review of scientific publications and presentations.
  13. Contribute to the development of new drug candidates and intellectual property.
  14. Collaborate with external partners and vendors as needed.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In Chemistry Or Pharmaceutical Sciences: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Ph.d. Or Equivalent Degree In Chemistry Or Pharmaceutical Sciences, With A Strong Background In Small Molecule Research And Development.

  • Extensive Industry Experience: A Minimum Of 8-10 Years Of Experience In The Pharmaceutical Industry, With A Focus On Small Molecule Research And Development, Is Required For This Role. Previous Experience In A Leadership Or Management Position Is Preferred.

  • Expertise In Drug Discovery And Development: The Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of The Drug Discovery And Development Process, From Target Identification To Preclinical And Clinical Development. Experience With Small Molecule Drug Candidates From Lead Generation To Ind Filing Is Highly Desirable.

  • Strong Leadership And Management Skills: The Associate Principal Scientist Will Be Responsible For Leading A Team Of Scientists And Collaborating With Cross-Functional Teams. Therefore, Strong Leadership And Management Skills, Including The Ability To Mentor And Develop Team Members, Are Crucial For Success In This Role.

  • Excellent Communication And Collaboration Abilities: As A Key Member Of The Research And Development Team, The Candidate Must Have Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills. This Includes The Ability To Effectively Communicate Complex Scientific Concepts To Both Technical And Non-Technical Stakeholders, As Well As Work Collaboratively With Cross-Functional Teams To Drive Projects Forward.
