  1. Conduct research and development activities to discover and develop new medicines that address unmet medical needs.
  2. Lead and manage a team of scientists to achieve project goals and timelines.
  3. Design and execute experiments to identify and optimize potential drug candidates.
  4. Utilize a variety of analytical techniques and instrumentation to characterize and evaluate drug compounds.
  5. Analyze and interpret data, and effectively communicate results to cross-functional teams.
  6. Collaborate with other departments and external partners to advance drug discovery and development projects.
  7. Stay current with scientific literature and industry trends in chemistry and drug discovery.
  8. Identify and implement innovative approaches to enhance drug discovery efforts.
  9. Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and regulatory guidelines.
  10. Effectively manage resources and budgets to support project goals.
  11. Mentor and train junior scientists to foster their professional growth.
  12. Contribute to the development of project strategies and plans.
  13. Present research findings at internal and external meetings and conferences.
  14. Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency and productivity.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In Chemistry Or Related Field: A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In Chemistry Or A Related Field Is Required For This Position. A Ph.d. Is Preferred And May Be Required For Some Specialized Areas.

  • Extensive Experience In Drug Discovery And Development: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 8-10 Years Of Experience In The Pharmaceutical Industry, With A Strong Track Record In Drug Discovery And Development. Experience In Multiple Therapeutic Areas Is Preferred.

  • Strong Leadership And Project Management Skills: The Associate Principal Scientist Will Be Responsible For Leading A Team Of Scientists And Managing Multiple Projects, Therefore, Strong Leadership And Project Management Skills Are Essential.

  • Expertise In Modern Analytical Techniques: Candidates Should Have A Deep Understanding Of A Wide Range Of Modern Analytical Techniques, Including Hplc, Gc, Nmr, And Mass Spectrometry. Experience With Techniques Such As X-Ray Crystallography And Nmr Spectroscopy Is Preferred.

  • Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills: The Associate Principal Scientist Will Be Expected To Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams, Present Research Findings To Senior Leadership, And Contribute To Scientific Publications. Therefore, Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills Are Crucial For Success In This Role.
