  1. Conduct research and development activities to support the discovery and development of biologics.
  2. Design and execute experiments and interpret results to advance biologic drug candidates.
  3. Develop and optimize bioprocesses for the production of biologics, including cell culture and purification processes.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of project timelines and deliverables.
  5. Analyze and interpret data to make informed decisions and recommendations for process improvement.
  6. Maintain accurate and detailed records of experimental data and results.
  7. Stay current with industry and scientific advancements in biologics development and incorporate new technologies and techniques into work.
  8. Communicate results and progress to team members, management, and other stakeholders.
  9. Lead and manage projects within the biologics process development team.
  10. Train and mentor junior team members to ensure their professional growth and development.
  11. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  12. Contribute to the development and implementation of new processes and technologies.
  13. Maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
  14. Continuously evaluate and improve processes to increase efficiency and productivity.
  15. Represent the company at scientific conferences and industry events.
  16. Collaborate with external partners and vendors as needed.
  17. Record and report project progress and results to management and stakeholders.
  18. Participate in cross-functional teams to support the development of new biologics.
  19. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external.
  20. Contribute to the overall success of the biologics development program at Merck & Co.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In A Relevant Scientific Field (E.g. Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology)

  • Minimum Of 7-10 Years Of Experience In Biologics Process Development, Preferably In A Pharmaceutical Or Biotechnology Industry Setting

  • Expertise In Protein Purification And Analytical Characterization Techniques

  • Strong Project Management Skills And Experience Leading Cross-Functional Teams

  • Proven Track Record Of Developing And Optimizing Biologics Manufacturing Processes, Including Scale-Up And Technology Transfer To Commercial Production.
