Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as the Associate Director of Ethics & Compliance at Merck & Co.   1. Develop and implement company-wide ethics and compliance policies and procedures in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
  2. Ensure all employees are aware of and trained on company policies and procedures.
  3. Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify potential compliance issues and develop mitigation strategies.
  4. Provide guidance and support to employees regarding ethics and compliance matters, including answering questions and addressing concerns.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  6. Oversee the investigation and resolution of any reported compliance violations.
  7. Stay informed about changes in laws and regulations related to the pharmaceutical industry and proactively make necessary updates to company policies and procedures.
  8. Maintain strong relationships with regulatory bodies and act as a liaison between the company and external stakeholders.
  9. Develop and deliver compliance training programs to educate employees on ethical and legal standards.
  10. Lead and manage a team of ethics and compliance professionals, providing mentorship and guidance to ensure the team's success.
  11. Monitor and report on the effectiveness of the company's ethics and compliance program to senior management and the Board of Directors.
  12. Promote a culture of integrity and ethical behavior throughout the organization.
  13. Act as a role model for ethical behavior and encourage others to do the same.
  14. Collaborate with external consultants and legal counsel as needed to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  15. Continuously assess and improve the company's ethics and compliance program to ensure its effectiveness and alignment with industry best practices.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Advanced Degree In Business, Law, Or A Related Field

  • Minimum Of 7-10 Years Of Experience In Ethics And Compliance, Preferably In The Pharmaceutical Industry

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Relevant Laws, Regulations, And Industry Standards Related To Corporate Ethics And Compliance

  • Strong Leadership Skills And Experience Managing A Team Or Department

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Various Stakeholders And Effectively Communicate Complex Concepts To Diverse Audiences.
