Job Description

Join our team at Merck & Co. as an Associate Director, Clinical Data Management for Animal Health.   1. Lead and manage the data management team to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of clinical data for animal health research and development programs.
  2. Develop and implement data management strategies and processes to support the collection, storage, and analysis of animal health clinical data.
  3. Oversee the design and implementation of data management systems and tools to facilitate efficient and accurate data collection and analysis.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data management activities are aligned with project goals and timelines.
  5. Provide guidance and support to team members on data management best practices and standards.
  6. Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors and partners involved in data management activities.
  7. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards for animal health clinical data management.
  8. Monitor and track data management metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to increase efficiency and quality.
  9. Contribute to the development and review of study protocols, data management plans, and other study-related documents.
  10. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in animal health data management to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
  11. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including senior management, to provide updates on data management activities and project progress.
  12. Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in clinical data management.
  13. Act as a subject matter expert and represent the data management team in internal and external meetings, conferences, and presentations.
  14. Participate in recruitment and selection of new team members and provide training and onboarding support.
  15. Maintain a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork, open communication, and a culture of continuous learning and development.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree Or Higher In A Relevant Scientific Discipline, Such As Biology, Veterinary Medicine, Or Data Management.

  • Minimum Of 7 Years Of Experience In Clinical Data Management In The Animal Health Industry, With At Least 3 Years In A Leadership Or Supervisory Role.

  • Strong Understanding Of Relevant Regulatory Requirements And Standards For Clinical Data Management, Such As Fda Regulations, Ich Guidelines, And Cdisc Standards.

  • Proficiency In Data Management Software And Systems, Such As Oracle Clinical, Medidata Rave, And Sas.

  • Excellent Communication, Leadership, And Project Management Skills, With A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Managing And Developing A Team.
