Job Description

Provides composites processing expertise to support leading edge composites manufacturing processes and development of new processes. Leads structured, complex problem solving activities leveraging process expertise.
Leads/mentors team members through leading problem solving teams. Expands knowledge base of core composite manufacturing processes through day to day activity/engagement with the manufacturing engineering team. Initiates improvements to Meggitt products, using best practices and professional knowledge. Acts as a professional resource for colleagues and provides technical direction and guidance to other team members. Reduces costs and improves manufacturing processes, using best practices and professional expertise. Provides technical support for new projects and evaluates the requirements and implications.

Job Qualifications

  • 10 years or more of manufacturing experience with heavy focus on composites manufacturing

  • Extensive manufacturing and processing experience with a wide range of resin and adhesive systems.

  • Thorough knowledge of manufacturing techniques of prepreg composite systems, carbon fiber / RTM

  • Experience with composites tooling, critical tooling design characteristics and how those impact process stability
