Accountant

This role supports the team by handling ad-hoc reporting requests and driving efficiencies via process improvement and best business practices. Generates budgets/forecasts and performs variance-to-forecast analysis for payroll, expenses, headcount, and confirmations. Participates in the monthly close process by analytically reviewing specific general ledger accounts for accuracy and proper valuation, generating various journal entries, and preparing required reconciliations. Analyzes reports and/or corrects accounting fluctuations to ensure proper decision making. Generates and maintains manufacturing rates, calculates manufacturing variances. Meets internal reporting deadlines for dissemination of financial and operational data to senior management Manages ad-hoc reporting requests from all areas of the organization with a focus on efficiency, accuracy, and a high percentage of reuse. Understands data linkages between a variety of legacy platforms, ensures that data is reconciled between various applications.
