- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment and facilities, including conveyor systems, forklifts, and storage racks.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions to determine the root cause and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance tasks to ensure optimal functioning of all warehouse equipment and facilities.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and equipment performance.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to identify maintenance needs and prioritize tasks.
- Monitor inventory levels of maintenance supplies and equipment and coordinate procurement as needed.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while operating and maintaining equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Provide training and support to other team members on equipment maintenance and safety protocols.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and assist with after-hours maintenance as needed.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to report progress, issues, and recommendations for improvement.
Knowledge Of Warehouse Maintenance Procedures And Equipment: A Warehouse Maintenance Tech 2 At Mckesson Corporation Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Warehouse Maintenance Procedures, Including Preventative Maintenance, Troubleshooting, And Repair Of Warehouse Equipment Such As Conveyors, Forklifts, And Pallet Jacks.
Experience With Building Maintenance: This Position May Also Require Experience With General Building Maintenance Tasks Such As Plumbing, Electrical, And Hvac Repairs. Knowledge Of Building Codes And Safety Regulations Is Also Important.
