- Develop and implement strategies for the protection of sensitive information and assets within the company.
- Manage and maintain the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems, including configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Monitor and analyze security events and logs from various sources to identify and respond to potential threats.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure the integration and proper functioning of the SIEM system with other security tools and technologies.
- Stay updated with the latest security threats and industry trends to continuously improve the company's security posture.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to security policies, procedures, and standards.
- Train and educate employees on information security best practices and procedures.
- Provide technical support and guidance to other members of the information security team.
- Participate in incident response and investigations when necessary.
- Communicate security risks and issues to upper management and make recommendations for remediation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to the SIEM system in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with external security vendors and consultants as needed.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the effectiveness of the SIEM system and make recommendations for enhancements.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to information security.
Extensive Knowledge And Experience With Siem Tools: A Senior Information Security Analyst-Siem Engineer At Mckesson Corporation Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Various Siem Tools, Such As Splunk, Arcsight, Or Qradar. They Should Be Able To Configure, Maintain, And Troubleshoot These Tools To Effectively Monitor And Analyze Network Security Events.
Strong Understanding Of Network Security Protocols: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Network Security Protocols, Including Tcp/Ip, Dns, Dhcp, And Http. They Should Also Be Well-Versed In Network Traffic Analysis And Be Able To Identify And Investigate Any Suspicious Activity.
Experience With Incident Response And Vulnerability Management: A Senior Information Security Analyst-Siem Engineer Should Have Experience In Incident Response And Vulnerability Management. They Should Be Able To Quickly Identify And Respond To Security Incidents And Proactively Manage Vulnerabilities To Prevent Potential Attacks.
Thorough Knowledge Of Industry Regulations And Compliance Standards: Candidates Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Industry Regulations And Compliance Standards, Such As Hipaa, Pci-Dss, And Gdpr. They Should Be Able To Ensure That All Security Measures And Procedures Are In Compliance With These Standards.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: Effective Security Analysts Must Possess Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills To Identify And Mitigate Potential Security Threats.
