- Develop and implement strategic plans for clinical research operations, in alignment with the company's overall goals and objectives.
- Oversee the planning, initiation, and execution of clinical trials, ensuring adherence to protocols, regulations, and timelines.
- Manage a team of clinical research professionals, providing guidance, support, and performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including medical affairs, regulatory, and data management, to ensure smooth and efficient execution of clinical trials.
- Monitor and track trial progress, identifying and addressing any issues or risks that may arise.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and guidelines, including Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and International Conference on Harmonisation (ICH) standards.
- Develop and manage budgets for clinical research projects, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
- Communicate regularly with internal and external stakeholders, providing updates on trial progress, results, and any issues that may impact the study.
- Review and approve study-related documents, such as protocols, informed consent forms, and study reports.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in clinical research, and make recommendations for process improvements and best practices.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the clinical research team.
- Represent the company at scientific conferences and meetings, presenting on clinical research activities and results.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and confidentiality.
- Ensure the ethical conduct of clinical trials and protect the rights and welfare of study participants.
- Prepare and submit required documentation to regulatory authorities, as needed.
- Mentor and develop team members, providing guidance and support for career growth and development.
- Participate in the recruitment and selection of new team members, as needed.
