- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of biomedical equipment, including but not limited to, diagnostic machines, imaging equipment, and patient monitoring devices.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with equipment, using technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
- Calibrate and test equipment to ensure accuracy and proper functioning.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs, including work orders and inventory management.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure equipment is functioning properly and meets patient care needs.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements and developments in the biomedical field, and apply this knowledge to improve processes and procedures.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols when working with sensitive equipment and hazardous materials.
- Communicate effectively with team members and superiors regarding equipment status, maintenance schedules, and any issues that may arise.
- Provide training and guidance to other team members, as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
- Assist in the procurement and installation of new equipment, ensuring proper setup and functionality.
- Act as a representative of McKesson Corporation and maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with clients and vendors.
- Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and make recommendations for process enhancements.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Maintain a positive and cooperative attitude, promoting a productive and supportive work environment.
Minimum Education Requirement: A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Is Required For This Position. Additional Education Or Training In Biomedical Equipment Technology Or Related Field Is Preferred.
Experience In Biomedical Equipment: Prior Experience Working With Biomedical Equipment, Including Troubleshooting, Repair, And Maintenance Is Required. Experience With A Variety Of Equipment Types And Manufacturers Is Preferred.
Technical Skills: Strong Technical Skills And Knowledge Of Electronic And Mechanical Systems Is Necessary For This Role. Familiarity With Diagnostic Equipment And Testing Tools Is Also Highly Desired.
Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For This Position. The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Team Members, Healthcare Staff, And Equipment Vendors Is Critical For Success.
Time Management And Organization: The Ability To Manage Time Effectively And Prioritize Tasks Is Important For This Role. Associate Biomed Technicians Must Be Able To Work Efficiently And Meet Deadlines In A Fast-Paced Environment.
