This is a part-time position that will require you to work weekends, ensuring that our patients receive consistent and comprehensive care throughout the week.To excel in this role, you must have a passion for helping others, excellent communication skills, and experience in group therapy facilitation.   1. Coordinate and lead group therapy sessions for patients at Massachusetts General Hospital.
  2. Facilitate a safe and supportive environment for patients to share their thoughts and feelings.
  3. Develop and implement therapeutic activities and exercises to promote patients' mental health and well-being.
  4. Collaborate with other mental health professionals to create comprehensive treatment plans for patients.
  5. Maintain accurate and detailed records of patients' progress and treatment plans.
  6. Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other staff members to ensure the best possible care for patients.
  7. Stay up-to-date on the latest research and techniques in group therapy to continually improve patient care.
  8. Attend regular team meetings and provide input on patient progress and treatment plans.
  9. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures regarding patient confidentiality and ethical standards.
  10. Act as a role model and advocate for inclusivity and diversity in the workplace.
  11. Participate in continuing education and training opportunities to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.
  12. Collaborate with the scheduling department to ensure adequate coverage for weekend group therapy sessions.
  13. Assist in the recruitment and training of new group therapy staff members.
  14. Manage any conflicts or challenging situations that may arise during group therapy sessions.
  15. Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment for all staff members at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Experience Facilitating Group Therapy Sessions.

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Various Therapeutic Modalities And Their Applications In A Group Setting.

  • Experience Working With Diverse Populations And Sensitivity To Cultural Differences.
