As a Unit Service Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of our unit. Your strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask will be essential in providing exceptional support to our patients and healthcare professionals.   1. Greet and welcome patients, families, and healthcare professionals to the unit in a friendly and professional manner.
  2. Maintain a clean and organized unit by regularly restocking supplies, organizing equipment, and ensuring patient rooms are tidy.
  3. Assist with patient admissions and discharges, ensuring all necessary paperwork and processes are completed accurately and efficiently.
  4. Communicate effectively with patients and families, providing them with necessary information and addressing any concerns they may have.
  5. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support patient care, including coordinating patient transportation, scheduling appointments, and assisting with procedures.
  6. Monitor and maintain inventory levels of supplies and equipment, promptly reporting any shortages or malfunctions.
  7. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all hospital safety and privacy policies.
  8. Complete administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and maintaining patient records.
  9. Respond promptly and efficiently to any urgent or emergency situations that may arise on the unit.
  10. Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude, promoting a welcoming and caring environment for patients and their families.
  11. Attend and actively participate in team meetings and training sessions to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
  12. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including infection control and safety protocols.
  13. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families, ensuring their needs are met in a timely and compassionate manner.
  14. Collaborate with other Unit Service Associates to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the unit.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by the unit manager or supervisor.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Requirement For A Unit Service Associate At Massachusetts General Hospital Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Basic Level Of Education And Can Understand And Follow Instructions Effectively.
