
Unit Coordinator - Orthopedic

- Provide administrative support to the Orthopedic department, including answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and maintaining patient records.
- Coordinate daily operations of the Orthopedic unit, including managing patient flow, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, nurses, and support staff, to ensure the highest quality of care for patients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date knowledge of department policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Assist in the orientation and training of new staff members.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of necessary supplies and equipment for the unit.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing them with necessary information and support.
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Prioritize and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactively identify and address any issues or concerns that may impact patient care or department operations.
- Keep accurate records and documentation of all unit activities.
- Participate in department meetings and contribute ideas for process improvement and enhancing patient experience.
- Adhere to all hospital and legal guidelines and regulations related to patient care and confidentiality.

Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Or Related Field.
At Least 3 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In Orthopedics.
Strong Leadership And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Manage A Team.
Knowledge Of Hospital Policies And Procedures, As Well As State And Federal Regulations Related To Patient Care.
Familiarity With Electronic Health Record Systems And Proficiency In Microsoft Office.
