  1. Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams on patients, ensuring high-quality images are obtained for accurate diagnosis.
  2. Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper functioning and safety standards are met.
  3. Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to analyze and interpret ultrasound images, providing accurate and timely results.
  4. Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and answering any questions they may have.
  5. Maintain a safe and clean work environment, following infection control and safety protocols.
  6. Keep accurate records of patient information, including medical history and exam results.
  7. Educate patients on the procedure and provide emotional support as needed.
  8. Stay current with advancements in ultrasound technology and techniques through continuing education and training.
  9. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, including HIPAA regulations and code of conduct.
  10. Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives to maintain high standards of patient care.
  11. Troubleshoot equipment issues and report any malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
  12. Communicate effectively with patients, coworkers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
  13. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to ethical standards.
  14. Handle and dispose of hazardous materials according to hospital protocols.
  15. Attend department meetings and contribute to team discussions and problem-solving.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Diagnostic Medical Sonography Or Related Field From An Accredited Institution.

  • Ardms Certification In Abdomen And Obstetrics/Gynecology.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Clinical Experience In A Hospital Or Medical Facility Setting.

  • Proficiency In Operating And Maintaining Ultrasound Equipment, As Well As Understanding Of Anatomy And Physiology.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Multidisciplinary Team.
