Ultrasound Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Ultrasound Technologist to join our world-class team at Massachusetts General Hospital. The ideal candidate will possess an Associate's Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (or equivalent) and be certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). Responsibilities:

1. Operate ultrasound equipment to produce images of patient anatomy for diagnosis by a physician.
2. Prepare and position patients for ultrasound examinations.
3. Maintain patient records and enter data into hospital information systems.
4. Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to safety protocols.
5. Educate patients on the procedure and answer any questions they may have.
6. Troubleshoot and adjust equipment to ensure optimal performance.
7. Follow physician instructions and provide results of examinations.
8. Work collaboratively with other medical professionals to ensure accuracy and quality of care.
9. Assist in training and orienting new staff members.
10. Stay abreast of new developments and technologies in ultrasound technology.
