• Prepare and maintain the Pediatric Endoscopy unit for surgical procedures
• Ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are available and in working order
• Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, holding retractors, and anticipating needs
• Maintain a sterile environment by following proper infection control protocols
• Monitor and document patient vital signs and report any changes to the surgical team
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing reassurance and answering any questions or concerns
• Collaborate with other members of the surgical team to ensure a safe and efficient workflow
• Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations
• Continuously update knowledge and skills through attending trainings and participating in educational opportunities
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
• Provide emotional support to patients and their families during stressful situations
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
• Report any equipment malfunctions or supply shortages to the appropriate personnel
